When a debtor cannot pay everyone, recovery stops being a race and becomes a process — and your position inside that process determines what you get. The UAE’s Bankruptcy Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 51 of 2023) governs preventive settlement, restructuring and liquidation, and creditors who engage early and properly recover more than those who wait.
We act for creditors throughout formal insolvency: filing and proving your claim correctly and on time; asserting the priority your security or status entitles you to; representing you in creditor decision-making on restructuring plans; monitoring the trustee’s administration and challenging steps that prejudice you; and scrutinising pre-insolvency transactions — assets moved out or creditors preferred in the run-up — that the law allows to be unwound. Where you hold security, we enforce or protect it within the process.
Turn here the moment you learn a debtor has filed for, or been placed into, proceedings under the Bankruptcy Law — or when the warning signs (bounced payments, mass creditor pressure, sudden asset sales) suggest it is coming. Deadlines inside insolvency are short and unforgiving; a late-proved claim is often a lost one.
